Video: Middle School Percussionists Cover Led Zeppelin
Yesterday was the 40th anniversary of Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti. Last fall, the Louisville Leopard Percussionists rehearsed a medley of Zeppelin tunes (Kashmir, The Ocean, and Immigrant Song) and someone in the room was smart enough to record it. The video didn’t have many views until it started making the rounds on Facebook late last week. By February 21st, it reached 300k views. Since then, it’s been shared by NPR, Time, and even by Jimmy Page, himself. It’s up over 2 million views and great to see these 60 7-12 musicians getting some attention.
Sometimes great content doesn’t get noticed right away. Great to see so many people noticing this one.
